Cool Brees couldn't put out Smith Fire!

It would seem that usually 462 yards and 4 touchdowns would be enough to win, but it wasn't today as Alex Smith turned a legendary performance of his own. Smith showed up in a big way as threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns and also a 28 yard touchdown run. The numbers do not begin to show how well he played. He showed poise and resolve in his first playoff victory and it was a well deserved win. How many people would have thought that Alex Smith would be able to lead two touchdown drives in the final few minutes of a big game. There are not too many guys I could see do that, but this guy played hard and smart and outlasted Drew Brees and company in this well deserved win. Congratulations to these guys as it will be interesting to see what they do next weekend as Smith and Harbaugh continue their legendary run.
