Does the Hooded One have something up his sleeve for Tebow? |
I think it is fair to say with Denver coming into New England on this predicted very cold night, that Tebow Time will come to an end as they are 14.5 point underdogs and are going up against a veteran Brady, who is dying to get back to the Super Bowl after the last few playoff losses they have had both at home. Despite the fact that the Steelers were crucified for their defensive game plan, I would follow that idea on some level. The only problem that they will have is that Tebow likes to throw to his left side and Devin McCourty, the Patriots best cornerback only plays on the opposite side. This would mean that Kyle Arrington would have to cover Demaryius Thomas one on one. I am sure Belichick will not allow this, but he could leave McCourty on the backside one on one and roll the safety to help out Arrington and then sell out against the run. The Patriots have not been that strong defensively and they can not allow Denver to take up as much time off the clock as they did last time or allow a record against a Belichick defense of 167 yards in a quarter like they did in the first quarter last time. A big difference this time around is that the Broncos will have all of their starting defensive backs besides Brian Dawkins unlike the last time around so it will not be as easy for Brady, especially with weather being a factor. In the end though, it is still Brady and Belichick and despite what people have said about this combo, they know how to win better than any other combo. The Patriots will win this one by around 10, so I do suggest taking Denver and the points in this one. Due to the weather and the over/under at 50, I am staying away because who knows with these 2 teams.
