There will be a Cool BREES in San Francisco this weekend

Cool Brees all day on the
West Coast!
In the first game of the weekend, we have the New Orleans Saints who have been in the playoffs the last few years winning the Super Bowl just two years ago, flying into the west coast to play the surprising San Francisco 49ers.  The 49ers led by, in my opinion, the easy choice for coach of the year Jim Harbaugh, have not been to the playoffs since 2002, I am pretty sure that was the last year.  Playing in a fairly easy division, the 49ers have played well enough to have earned themselves the bye and it was more than needed, because if this game was being held in the Bayou, the spread might be much closer to 10, despite the great defense the 49ers have been playing.
As bad as the Saints have been playing on the road, and who can forget that awful performance last year against Seattle in the playoffs, this is a game which I think will be different.  First off, it is that very game against Seattle that makes me believe this game will be different.  They realize this time around that their inefficiencies on the road and I believe head coach Sean Payton and Drew Brees have been preaching this all week.  They did get better on the road later in the season after throwing up a few duds early.  I expect them to come out pretty fast this week and as good as this San Francisco defense is, which it is exceptional, I don't think they will be able to contain Brees and company who are playing on a different level right now.  Alex Smith, has a had a fairly decent year playing quarterback for SF, but he is going to have the kitchen sink thrown at him this week as I believe Gregg Williams, Saints def coordinator, will be blitzing all day, which will cause fits for Alex Smith and company.  I am sure Jim Harbaugh knows this and that is where the chess match will begin.
Taking everything into consideration, I believe the New Orleans Saints will go into San Francisco and come out with a 27-16 type of win.  I wouldn't be surprised if New Orleans pulls out a defensive touchdown somewhere either as Alex Smith will be forced into some hurried throws, we will see if he was coached up well enough to see it coming and not fall into the Greg Williams trap.
